Tom co-founded Clima Renewables Limited in 2024.
After completing my electrical apprenticeship, I became increasingly interested in the renewable energy sector and went on to complete a solar PV installation course.
That journey led me and Aaron to start Clima Renewables, with the goal of making solar PV systems more affordable and accessible for everyday people. With electricity prices climbing every year, I understand the pressure this puts on households. As a family man, I myself have felt those pressures. My mission is simple: to provide reliable, cost-effective solar PV solutions that help islanders save their hard-earned money by reducing reliance on the grid and lowering energy bills.
Whether it’s a small installation or a larger project, I take pride in delivering honest advice, quality workmanship, and a smooth, hassle-free installation process. For me, it’s not just about solar PV, it’s about giving people the freedom to keep more of their income and spend it on the things they enjoy most.
Aaron Mahieu
Founder/Director
Aaron co-founded Clima Renewables Limited in 2024. I began my career in the electrical industry as a school leaver and earned my Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Technology. With over 15 years of experience, I have worked in various parts of the electrical industry, from domestic systems to commercial/industrial systems.
My passion for renewable energy led me to pursue a career in solar photovoltaics, where I completed a Solar PV installation course and founded Clima.
Whilst some may disagree, energy prices are likely to continue to rise; renewable energy is the future.
As someone with a young family, it is important to me to be ahead of the game so I can provide for and secure my family's future, as well as being able to spend more of my income on doing the things we enjoy doing as a family. Everyone should be in a position where more of their income can be put into the things they enjoy doing.
I enjoy discussing the various opinions that surround the topic of Solar. There are savings to be made, and I want to help as many families as I can, make an informed decision that is right for them, so they too can reap the benefits of transitioning to Solar.
Harvey Lihou
Electrical Engineer
Harvey joined Clima Renewables Limited in 2025.
I knew I wanted to get my electrical apprenticeship as soon as I left school. The industry is always evolving with new technology, which is what makes it so exciting.
I completed my inspection and testing course, giving me all I need to be a qualified supervisor.
Solar is the future, and it's constantly growing on the island. Clima is focused on renewable energy being accessible and affordable for all, so that nobody gets left behind. They have honest conversations and care more about educating and helping people than making a quick sale. I like that, and this is why I joined Clima.
I really enjoy helping clients design their installations and generally like to help them understand the benefits of transitioning to solar. Outside of this, I enjoy my football, socialising with family and friends, and you may even find me enjoying the occasional sea swim at any one of the amazing beaches our great Island has to offer.
